RRB ALP 2020

Every year railway recruitment board invites applications from eligible candidates to fill various posts of Assistant Loco Pilot and technician in 21 railway zones. Every year lakhs of candidates are applying for RRB ALP and technician posts. RRB will soon announce official notification for the recruitment of ALP post. All 21 Railway Zones including Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Jammu Srinagar, Kolkata, Malda, Mumbai, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Siliguri, and Thiruvananthapuram are expected to fill vacant posts for for Assistant Loco Pilots and Technician. RRB ALP 2020: Eligibility criteria

Here in this article we are providing RRB ALP 2020 Age limit, examination fee, education qualification required and examination pattern and syllabus to help the candidates in preparation for RRB ALP 2020 exam.

RRB ALP 2020: Age limit

The candidates must be between 18 to 28 years to be eligible for applying for RRB ALP Posts. The upper and lower limit will be common for all posts.

Academic qualification: RRB ALP 2020

The basic educational requirement for the RRB ALP post is given below:

• Candidates should have passed matriculation and completed course Act Apprenticeship Industrial Training Institute approved by NCVT or SCVT in the respective trade.

• Those who have a diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Automobile Engineering recognized by the AICTE are also eligible for the exam.

Important-

Those awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed educational/technical qualification SHOULD NOT APPLY.
Diploma/Degree in engineering will not be accepted in lieu of course completed act Apprenticeship/ITI for the posts of technicians unless otherwise specified. Graduate Act apprenticeship will not be accepted in lieu of course completed act Apprenticeship.

RRB ALP 2020: Examination Fee

Candidates applying for the post in this CEN Shall have to pay an application fee as per their category prescribed below:

2 For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex serviceman/PWDs/Female/Transgender/Minorities/Economically backward sections. 250/-

* This fee of 250/- shall be refunded duly after deducting bank charges.

Mode of payment of Fee

• Candidates can make ONLINE fee payment through internet banking or debit/credit cards.

• Candidates can make OFFLINE fee payment through SBI Challan or Post office challan.

RRB ALP 2020: Selection process

Candidates applying for RRB ALP post will have to go through four stages to get selected in RRB departments. The recruitment process involves First stage CBT, Second stage CBT, Computer based aptitude test and document verification.

RRB ALP 2020 Stage 1 CBT Pattern & syllabus

Stage first Computer based test will be of qualifying nature. The marks scored by candidates in first stage shall be use for scrutiny of candidates for second stage CBT. CBT 1 will consist of 75 questions and total duration will be of 60 minutes.

Minimum qualifying marks is different for each category. Candidates have to score minimum percentage prescribed to be eligible for second stage test.

UR -40%, OBC/SC- 30%, ST-25%.

The questions asked in first test will include multiple choice questions. The questions will be asked from the following topics:

• Mathematics:

• General intelligence & Reasoning

• General Science

• General awareness

RRB ALP 2020 Stage 2 CBT Pattern & syllabus

Candidates who managed to score minimum marks prescribed for qualifying CBT 1 will appear for CBT 2. The total number of candidates to be shortlisted for second stage shall be 15 times of total vacancy of ALP and technicians. The second stage will include Part A and part B.

Total duration will be of 2 hours 30 minutes.

Part A will include 100 questions for which 90 minutes will be given to the candidates to answer these questions. The marks scored in part A alone shall be used for selecting candidates for further stages of recruitment process. The Part A shall include questions related to Mathematics, general intelligence & Reasoning, General science and General awareness.

Part B This part is of qualifying nature and include 75 questions for which 60 minutes will be given. This section will have questions related to trade syllabus. Candidates who are having ITI/Apprenticeship qualification shall have to appear for this test. Candidates holding degree/diploma and HSC(+2) having eligibility for the post of ALP have to select relevant trade from the list of trades given.

RRB ALP 2020: Computer Based aptitude test

Candidates who will clear stage second of RRB ALP exam will have to appear for third stage of selection process. Candidates will have to appear for 5 battery test. Each battery will include 5-6 tests. Candidates will have to attempt questions within a limited time prescribed. Following are the types of questions asked in the test to check the knowledge and skills of the candidates. Computer based aptitude test is taken to check speed and accuracy in solving questions.

Candidates will be judged on the basis of:

1. Memory based test: Under this test candidates appearing for CBAT will have to answer questions based on map study and number combinations. The questions are framed to check the memory of students.

2. Following Directions: candidates will have to answer questions related to directions and movement towards a particular destination.

3. Depth perception test: Questions related to bricks on which alphabets are written are given to candidates. Candidates are required to answer questions after analyzing the things.

4. Speed test

5. Concentration Level test: This section will consist questions to check the concentration level of the students. Candidates will be asked to compare two numbers or objects which look almost similar.

Merit list will be prepared on the basis of Second and third stage. 70% marks of final list will be on the basis of PART A OF CBT 2nd stage and 30% of CBAT.

RRB ALP 2020: Document verification:

Candidates who will clear all the three stages will be finally called for verification of documents. After document verification final list of candidates will be released who get selected for RRB ALP post.
